At Little Creators, we believe the first five years of life are a critical period for early childhood development, marked by rapid growth and brain development. During this time, early experiences play a vital role in shaping lifelong learning, wellbeing and resilience. Guided by an understanding of neuroplasticity, we recognise that a child’s brain continually forms and adapts in response to experience. Because of this, safe, responsive environments and trusting relationships are essential for healthy development. We view children as capable, competent and unique learners. Our philosophy is centred on child empowerment, nurturing each child’s potential while supporting them to develop confidence in who they are and what they can achieve.
Learning through relationships
Learning is developed through respectful, responsive and trusting relationships. Educators observe closely, listen deeply and respond to children’s ideas, strengths and interests. These observations guide meaningful, intentional learning experiences. Play is central to our curriculum. Through play, children explore ideas, develop thinking, collaborate with others, solve problems and build independence in ways that are meaningful to them.
Our guiding principles
Our practice is guided by the principles of the National Quality Framework:
Honouring childhood
At Little Creators, we honour childhood as a time of curiosity, imagination and discovery. We believe children are not only learners, but also creators of ideas, meaning and relationships. In a safe, inspiring and responsive environment, children are empowered to explore, express and thrive, building a strong foundation for lifelong learning, creativity and confidence.
A closing belief
We believe early childhood is not preparation for life, it is life being lived. Every experience matters. Every relationship matters. Every child matters.
